The 288 Scare Factory is the mobile viral genetic research facility of Nouveau Genesis Corporation gone awry. The facility is based at a location known as Creepy Hollow and was developed to experiment on the ample feral hog population in the area. The corporation is going to cure all of mans afflictions by introducing genetic manipulating viruses, but there has been an accident. If the virus gets out it could be the end of life as we know it. Enter a dark industrial world where the laws of science have been manipulated and decayed. Find out how it feels to be alive as you are trying to survive the walking dead. Welcome to ground zero of the zombie apocalypse!
The Dark Woods is a area of dense forest located behind the Nouveau Genesis Corporation. Over the years The Caretaker for the factory had the job of disposing of the factories waste. He figured he would pocket the money from the disposal fees and just dump the waste in the woods. The woods was always home to many traveling vagrants and other individuals not wanting to be found. The contaminated waste made its way into the water and the soil. Slowly the inhabitants of the Dark Woods began to change. Skin started peeling and blistering. Teeth and hair started falling out. Once the mutation took over their body, they began to hunger for the taste of human flesh. One day The Caretaker was caught off guard by one of the mutated vagrants and slipped with barrel of waste and burned himself from head to toe. He screamed in agony as the vagrant started ripping away at his flesh. He managed to get away using a nearby rusty shovel. Now with scarred eyes, burned skin, and his rusty shovel, The caretaker travels the grounds of Creepy Hollow looking for fresh skin to replace his burned flesh.
As with any research, sometimes the results simply are not stable and must be contained. Pitch Black is a holding facility adjacent to Nouveau Genesis located at Creepy Hollow. Once the factory started experimenting on humans, strange and uncontrollable side affects started to appear with some of the subjects. They became insane, freakish, and began to get aggressive. The scientist found they could control the state of the subjects depending on the light they were exposed to. Bright lights and glowing lights made them act completely insane. Complete darkness made them turn into killing machines. Nouveau Genesis began to worry about spies and competition watching and sneaking into their facility. They created a area called Pitch Black with both crazy lights and complete darkness to harness the pure killing power of the rejected subjects to provide added security measures. Most people will never make it through the Dark Woods or Pitch Black to see what takes place the inside walls of the 288 Scare Factory. Will you?

I was dragged to 4 different haunted house this year, Phobia, Terror Dome, REDRUM, and Creepy Hollow, Creepy Hollow was the scariest and REDRUM was the most fun. I went here with friends and we did all of the attractions, Pitch Black, 288 Scare Factory and Dark woods. At one point I was literally crying from how scared I was and my friends had to ask me If I was okay. The outdoor area is fun, We had some food after the houses. I definitely recommend but know what you can handle cause this isn’t your ordinary haunted house. I’d recommend it for 13+.

This is my favourite Halloween destination. It’s the most scariest attractions that I have ever been to. All 3 attractions are hell scary and sure to experience heart palpitations. Houses vary from one another to a great extent and each attraction was like a movie experience. I will definitely go next year.

We went on lights out weekend, wherein you are given a glow stick as your light. My glow stick was stolen couple of times by the characters. Haunted woods was incredible in terms of set design as well as scares. It was a fun experience throughout. Recommend this place.

The Dark Woods scared the crap out of me. Pitch Black and 288 Scare Factory were amazing, though I don't particularly like clowns. The hidden gem was the Bus Adventure.

I drove nearly an hour and worth it. Actors well performed and stayed in their character. Good energy and high dedication were clearly visible. Darkwoods and Scare Factory scared us the most and we were screaming nonstop. Don’t bring kids they might go crazy. Parking was an easy job and it was absolutely free.

One of the scariest haunts I’d visited this year. Went with my wife and we had a great time. She was always afraid of clowns. In pitch black, she almost screamed non-stop. Dark woods had some horrific characters that will blow your mind. The scare factory had gore and blood that freaked me out. Everyone did a great job in scaring us. Totally impressed.

Great special effects!! Well decorated. Scare factory had some nerve wracking moments. Set design was good with lots of attention to details. Pitch dark also had some bone-chilling instances. You just can’t anticipate the scares in the darkness. Well done.

Visited the place with my niece, and we had a great time. This was my first ever visit to a haunted house, and I was definitely scared. It had few moments wherein you knew something would happen, and still you’ll be startled off your feet. My niece’s favourite was pitch black. The clowns scared the crap out of me. It was a fun evening.

This was the best I’d seen in the Houston area. It was pretty big than I anticipated. The wait time was a bit long. The kid at the end of the forest really gave me a scare. The chainsaw guy with a grotesque bony face also scared the crap out of our group. Overall, the haunted house was pretty good and worth the money. I will certainly visit again next year.
