What's new at Haunted Huntsville for 2026? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?
Between 2021 and 2025, Haunted Huntsville has only ever allowed five Paranormal Teams to investigate the building. We are now opening the building to Paranormal Teams for overnight private investigations.
Guided Paranormal Experiences for non-paranormal people will still be offered year-round.
What are you most excited about for the 2026 Halloween Season?
Our building is so active. We are excited to share real experiences with more people.
What differentiates Haunted Huntsville from other local haunts in Texas?
Haunted Huntsville is a real historic jailhouse. No props, costumes, make-up or jump-scares here. We don't engineer or fake anything. There simply is no reason to artificially create anything. This is the real deal. Paranormal is Normal for us.
This is a very small intimate experience in a real haunted jailhouse. Best group size is 4 to 8 people per experience. All Paranormal equipment provided for the Guided Paranormal Experience and the Cemetery Crawl. However, feel free to bring your own equipment as well. Paranormal Teams, bring your kit. You can also supplement from the kit of our own team, The Cellblock Specters.
How long has Haunted Huntsville been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Haunted Huntsville's history?
Haunted Huntsville just officially opened it's doors. Occasional experiences have been shared with people, but not in the way we are excited to do now.
What's your favorite experience since opening Haunted Huntsville?
We love telling stories in the Party Cell in the South Cellblock. That is where the rowdy ghosts hang out.
How long is a typical haunt experience at Haunted Huntsville from start to finish?
A guided Paranormal Experience for non-paranormal people lasts about 2.5 hours.
A Cemetery Crawl lasts about 2 hours.
Paranormal Team Investigations may be scheduled for 6 hours or overnight.
On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Haunted Huntsville is? Why?
Our scare factor is about a 5. We have rules with our unseen residents. The rules are Kindness, Dignity, Respect & No Harm. We give this to them. We expect it from them. We do not permit antagonistic spirits to remain. If they can't follow the rules, they gotta go.
Because of this, our guests are safe.
Does Haunted Huntsville's property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?
Oh my goodness. Do you have about 30 hours listening time? The land we are on has had a working jail on it from 1876 to 1979. County executions took place here till 1923.
My favorite story is about Gus. We hired a staff member that Gus didn't like. On the first day, Gus shut a door on him 5 times. On the staffers 3rd shift, Gus slapped him upside the back of the head because he was doing a bad job washing dishes. We soon fired that staffer for inability to get the dishes clean enough.
While using a spirit box when sharing this story to a group of people, across the box came "Yea, I smacked him!". We followed with a question of "Do you like the new staffer, Emma?" Answer: "Yea, she rocks."
The ghosts are always watching to make sure that staff does a great job. They take pride in our cafe as much as we do.
What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?
We spend our days in a haunted jailhouse. We have so many experiences. Guests want to experience it also. Let's have fun together.
How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Haunted Huntsville?
We keep it low key. We have basic Paranormal equipment. We consistently get intelligent responses. But really, except for the security cameras, we don't bother recording audio or video. You either believe or you don't. Either way, we know it's real.
Can Haunted Huntsville accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Haunted Huntsville together as a group?
This is a very intimate experience. The best group size is 4 to 8 people. We can fit 10, but it gets kinda crowded.
