Casa De Palmas Renaissance McAllen Hotel

I just stayed there October 1 was supposed to be there till Friday, but I checked out the very next morning

On Wed evening I was just relaxing going through my phone on the bed and I felt someone run their fingers on my arm, I was startled and thought maybe it was a roach or mosquito
Anyhow, I shook off the bed and didn’t think nothing of it. A few moments later, the same thing happened again.. then I thought maybe it was the pillowcase from the pillow next to me, but that would not be possible because it was far for me

The vibe in that room was so strange. I travel a lot and I’ve stayed all over different hotels all over the country. I have never felt anything like this.

I finally fell asleep and kept dreaming that an old ladies hand dressed up in a bejeweled glove was above me, her hand was wrapped around a globe or a light, and I could clearly just see the hand

The next morning, I got ready and left the room quick. Once I was in my car, I googled the hotel to see if it was haunted and that’s the first thing that came up. - the hotel is indeed haunted. I am never coming back to that place.

Today is October 3 and I’m still feeling drained whatever entity was there took all my energy

i stayed there on room 136 ground floor. on easter weekend 4/20/2025. i was sleeping,.. woke up to move to my right side, when i opened my eyes saw a black figure vanishing from the side of the bed to the restroom. same night i felt something pad my shoulder, it was a very soft touch. i didn’t open my eyes just stayed still and didn’t think nothing about it. this was my experience a very unique one too.

April 2025

I was visiting my guy who works night shift. I switched my sleep schedule so we would be awake at the same time. On the 5th night there I experienced items being knocked off of the surface.
I had been keeping my iPad on the nightstand on top of a box all week. There is a floor fan placed in front of the nightstand, but it doesn’t touch it. The fan has been in the same place all week. I had sitting on top of my iPad my cell phone and a top to a travel coffee cup (like you would get on a to go cup).

(Time was sometime between 1:30 am-3:00 am) I was standing with my back to the bed, watching tv, when I heard something “thunk”. It was the lid that fell off my iPad and landed on the fan’s base. I didn’t think much of it, picked it up and put it away. Then I went back to watching tv. About 10 minutes later, a louder thunk. This time my phone fell.

Now - the iPad is sitting flat. It isn’t tilted. The phone has been placed on it all week and has never fallen off. The phone was also case side down and this case has slip/slide resistance. The phone was also not on the edge of the iPad. In order for it to have slipped on its own, the iPad would have had to have fallen too.

I believe both items were pushed off.

March 2025

I stayed at this hotel last week on an airline crewmember layover. Every one of us, 6 in total, received a phone call on the room phone @4AM. When we did come downstairs for our 6AM airport shuttle, we asked the front desk if they had given us wake up calls. The front desk girl said “no.” So, somehow all of us got a call around the exact same time. Weird. We were all freaked out because we thought we had overslept or something.

February 2025

I stayed at the Renaissance once a week, every month, from around 2000-2006 for my work. I recall one evening getting ready for bed. The room I was staying was one of the courtyard rooms. I don’t recall if it was the second or third floor. I pulled the covers back and started the lay down on the right side of the bed. All of a sudden the temperature dropped and it felt like someone layed down next to me! It actually felt like the bed moved next to me. I literally froze and couldn’t move. Somehow I closed my eyes real tight and fell asleep.

The next morning during breakfast in the concierge room, I asked the young lady from the hotel if she’d ever had any “experiences” in the hotel. Of course she said yes! This just validated my experience.

October 2024

Stayed there in 2016 for a week. On a Saturday, I came back to the room after lunch and the power button on my work tablet would not work. I had used the tablet that morning with no issue and no one came into the room (it was not cleaned). Upon examining the power button (on side of tablet) it was damaged and had a chip broken off of the small button (about half the button). After that, it was difficult to power on and I had to get a new tablet from work.
As mentioned, the room phones never worked (not a big deal in era of cell phones) and there was just an eerie feeling throughout the hotel.

once a couple years ago i had a dream even though ive never ever been there i was 14 at the time and i saw an old lady wondering the halls and she said come here i think she mean to go over there ever since ive felt super drawn to that place
