Magoffin Homestead
El Paso, TX 79901
This home dates back to 1875 when it was built by El Paso mayor Joseph Magoffin. His family lived in the home until 1976, when the City of El Paso and the State of Texas purchased it. The location is believed to be haunted by a few ghosts, including that of Charles Richardson, Joseph Magoffin’s brother-in-law and best friend. Another is Uncle Charlie who rocks in in the rocking chair that he died in long ago, and also opens and closes doors and messes with the lights. A ghostly lady in blue has also been seen here, she is thought to be Octavia Magoffin, as well as a little girl and a lady in a white Victorian-style dress. Cold breezes and taps on the shoulder have been reported by homestead visitors.

Reviews
While visiting my Wife's mother in El Paso Tx we decided to visit this place after hearing that it was haunted but has a great history. While visiting the room with the rocking chair I got touched on my left arm. I never felt being touched by a Ghost before but it felt is if there were fingers touching my arm. The other place was the bedroom. Those dresses that were hung up in there started moving quickly then stopped. I also caught some orbs in some of the rooms.
