Casa De Palmas Renaissance McAllen Hotel - Real Haunt in McAllen TX
- 101 N. Main St.
- McAllen, TX

This hotel dates back to 1918 and is believed to be haunted by a ghostly elderly woman who has been spotted in the basement. There is one or two more female apparitions that have been seen wearing black veils. Police were once called to check on a strange woman wandering around one of the building's towers, and they found themselves trapped inside. The phones here have reportedly behaved strangely as well.
Stayed there in 2016 for a week. On a Saturday, I came back to the room after lunch and the power button on my work tablet would not work. I had used the tablet that morning with no issue and no one came into the room (it was not cleaned). Upon examining the power button (on side of tablet) it was damaged and had a chip broken off of the small button (about half the button). After that, it was difficult to power on and I had to get a new tablet from work.
As mentioned, the room phones never worked (not a big deal in era of cell phones) and there was just an eerie feeling throughout the hotel.Posted 6/8/23
