A local legend says that the airport was once private long ago, and that a woman found her husband on a private plane with his mistress. She killed the two of them before committing suicide. Her spirit is said to linger the area, and a strong smell of perfume has been detected when she is around. Unexplained lights have also been reported here, looking like a plane was starting up, in an unused hangar. Some have also reported the sounds of a couple arguing in this same location.
