Bragg Road

Bragg Road in Fort Worth is a well known hot spot for paranormal activity. The infamous road is known to be the location of countless sightings of the Ghost Road Light, which is also known as the Saratoga Light, Bragg Road Light, or the Big Thicket Light. The light appears to travelers at night while on the road between Saratoga and the extinct village of Bragg Station.

Before the current road was built, the clearing served as Santa Fe Railroad’s branch line that dates back to the early 1900s. Locals stated that the line was haunted by Mexican laborers that were murdered by a foreman. And these weren't the only hauntings. There was also the ghost of a deserter shot that was shot by Confederate soldier, a hunter lost in the woods, and a decapitated railroad brakeman searching for his head. No matter the story, they all share one common thing - a floating orb of light.

In the late 1990s, Bragg Road was designated as Ghost Road Scenic Drive Park by the county of Hardin. It is a gorgeous road to drive down during the day, but when the sun goes down, you may not want to travel along it!
