  Mischievous Children at Terrell Castle!!!

  My husband and I stayed at the Terrell Castle in November 1996. I was almost seven months pregnant at the time. We had driven from Houston after work, during peak traffic, so we didn't arrive until late in the evening. We were so tired as we climbed the stairs to our room. We hadn't been in the room for ten minutes before we heard laughing and stomping on the staircase. My husband was looking at me like "who tf lets their kids play on hotel stairs this late at night?" He stormed over to the door, flung it open, we looked left, right, up, and down, and we were clearly the only two living people on that landing. As so many other guests had reported, we went down to breakfast the next morning and commented on the noisy, rowdy kids, only to be told we were the only guests in the hotel that entire weekend. We wanted ghosts, well, we sure got them! Exhilarating, to say the least! Would love to go back and stay a weekend with my now 29-year-old daughter, who has "survived and thrived" from her in-utero ghostly encounters to being an avid fan of ghosts and their stories!

  Running on stairs

  My husband and I were married at the castle in 2001. That night as we were going to bed, we kept hearing kids playing on the stairs. We were annoyed that someone would be letting their kids do that so late at night The next morning when everyone came down for breakfast we found out there were no kids at the castle that night. It was years later that I read about the ghost children. They did seem to be having quite a happy time.??
